Tulip Stars by Thangles

The quilt is a lap or wallhanging sized quilt and has many great features.
The tulip star blocks are made from pairs of Fat Quarters.  A pair of FQs makes two blocks. 12 Fat Quarters make all the blocks and the two inner borders.
One additional fabric is used for the sash separators and the border.

Step by step directions for making the tulip unit (a variant of a quarter square triangle)  without complicated math or the cutting of triangles.  This method is exclusive to THANGLES.  
Pieced tulip border is made from the bonus units that are sewn when when making the block tulip units.

Very few seams to match when sewing the blocks together.  

Easy assembly that does not rely on accuracy.  Once the blocks are sewn together, we show you how to add borders even if your seam allowance is not sewn accurately.
The quilt finishes to 50" wide x 64" tall.
